A new industry report ranks Bangalore as India's top startup hub, with over 12,000 active startups and the highest concentration of unicorn companies outside of Delhi NCR.

Bangalore has once again been ranked as India's leading startup ecosystem in the 2025 Startup India Index, with more than 12,000 active startups, 14 unicorn companies, and an estimated venture capital deployment of USD 6.2 billion in the past 12 months.

The report highlights the city's deep talent pool, world-class engineering institutions, and established network of angel investors and venture capital firms as key differentiators.

For EBC members, Bangalore's startup density represents significant opportunities for investment, partnership, and talent acquisition — particularly for international companies looking to establish or expand their India presence.
